How can I brighten up the walls in my kids room without painting?
I live in an apartment so I can't paint but would love to add some color. I've tried posters but they always seem to get torn down. Any other ideas since I can't paint?

- What about fabric? It doesn't rip as much as paper, and there's lots of cute prints available.
- Buy some inexpensive frames of different sizes...then grab a variety of magazines and engage the kids in helping to pick out ones you all like. Being part of the decorating will make them take more 'ownership' of their room too :-)
- I love www.wallies.com.. They have all kinds of bright pre-sticky wallpaper cut-outs. all you have to do is wet them and stick them on the wall. When you want to change them, wash the cut outs with warm soapy water and they peel right off. My little girl even helps me put them up!
- Frame those posters. I like cute big posters, but they need to be in a frame. "Wallies" work good for a border or just all over (If you have a "Dollar Tree" they have wall stickers which are much cheaper) . Also get bright colored curtains and find bright colored shadow box shelves they usually come in a set of 3( Home Interiors has cute girl ones, and I got some surf blue colored ones from target for my son.)Fill them with trophies, cute nick-nacks, figurines, cute photo frames, anything!! Also, you can use door beaded curtains, hang them from the ceiling against the wall, they make a way cute back drop for a bed. Street signs or neon style signs a cool for older kids. Good luck, there are a lot of things you can do, don't be afraid to make nail holes, you pay enough rent, you should be able to live comfortably.
