How to clean and organize my room?
And, how can I keep it cleaned and organized? Here's the deal, I can't find a place for everything, and I don't know how to decide if I need something or not anymore... Also I don't have a bookshelf, or a place to put a lot of things becuase the bins in my room are being used for toys for kids I babysit every once and a while. for now I put everything I don't have a place for in a huge box, and then I shoved it in my closet.... So if anyone has any tips or anything plz help. Also I am getting off the computer now, except to answer questions to get it done.

- have a place for everything.
- Have you used it in 6 months? If not - trash it. I am sure you have lots of things you could get rid of.
- get them plastic drawers. i got one and it has 4 drawers from wilkinson. i have the most messiest sister so i put all her rubbish in two drawers and mine in 1. 1 is left spare. i recommend one. plus it doesn't take much space and plus you can put a box on top of it.
- SIMPLE! - Arrange things using a system. Box-A: (Things I NEED) : Clothes, (arrange these by the season's use) and bath accessories %Toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, wallet. Box-B: (Things I can use, but don't really need) : Jewelry, PDA. Box-C: (Things I wonder why I even keep) : Silly "stuff" you bought on that trip to Lake Havazu, That 35-mm camera that you can no longer find film at the Eckert's store anymoe. Take ONE COMPLETE DAY to organize "your stuff." You will feel much more Organized and in better control and "feel" satisfied for accomplishing it.
- LOL what i do is pile everything into the middle of my room and organize it throught the week!! Join the unorganized club! I trash a lot of it too!!
- 1st: Tackled all clothes…anything you haven’t worn in a year bag up and give to charity…especially if price tags are still on them. This leaves room in the closet for storage. 2nd: Put all of your items in piles according to what they are, i.e. books, knickknacks, toys, etc. This way you can see what you actually have. If something is not a family heirloom handed down, and you really don’t have a use for it OR see yourself using it anytime soon, give it to charity. Have you watched the TV show “Clean Sweep”? They are really good at helping people decide what is really important to keep. Anything broken should be thrown away especially if you have no way of fixing it. Items for future use for something can also be donated to charity or boxed up and put in your closet out of the way. If you still aren’t sure about whether you should keep something or not, leave it out where you can see it daily for no more then a week and hopefully buy the end of the week you would have decided what to do with it. 3rd: Toys for babysitting can go in a grocery store bag or box appropriate for size, since they are not used often. Then you can put them in your closet where you can get to them easily or you can put them in a corner somewhere in your main living space. 4th: Bins can now be used to make bookshelves if they are square. I have stacked mine up putting boards in between each level to make the shelf longer. The bins on each level are for books; the boards are for knickknacks and other things. I hope this helps with your problem.
- It sounds like the first thing you need to do is to add some storage to your room. You may think that you don't have any room for storage but I'd be willing to bet you could find some. Can you add an organization system to your closet? Can you purchase a bookshelf? Can you hang some shelves on the wall? Can you use under-the-bed storage boxes? Really take a good long look around your room and find a way to utilize every bit of wasted space. If there are items that you are unsure whether or not to keep, box them up neatly, label the boxes as to what is in them and store them some place out of your room. Mark your calendar for six months from now. When that date comes, if you have not had any use for any of the items in the box, it is safe to get rid of them. When you are deciding where to put the things you do keep in your room, make the decision based on use. Things you use every single day should be the easiest to get to. Things you use only every once in a while should be kept out of the way but easy to get to when you need them. Things that you use only rarely can be stored up on a high shelf out of the way, etc. Here is a website with more information:
