Kids Room Tips

i need help with my yearbook spread? its student life---summer?

ok, i have this years summer spread. i need some photo ideas. and i need some interesting story ideas. if it were your yearbook what would you like to see included in it? like for summer, or you can give me ideas on any other topic. for my story i was thinking of writing about someone who traveled a lot and discuss the kind of sites they saw and the culture and stuff like that. photo ideas i was thinking of using was, school sponsored stuff, students paintballing, swimming (which is original), summer athletics, trainers remodeling their training room, and idk what else. what kind of stuff do kids do during summer? all your ideas will be appreciated! thankss! thanks but........all staffers aren't allowed to be in the yearbook unless we're involved in other clubs or there's a picture where there is no way to be cropped out. and they make sure that all the pictures we use aren't any of our friends!

  1. what the hell... just put the best looking pictures of yourself & your friends add some nice curly q's and a cute background and your done!
  2. well this past year we did something like this in our yearbook...We had students who went places through a school event such as Club trips, Student Ambassadors, Governor School Participants, and Club Camps...these students gave us a copy of their favorite picture and we just wrote a little summary of their trip (and make sure its journalisticaly sound, lol)
  3. Can you put up signs at your school asking for people to turn in pictures from anything they did over the summer? Have them put names and homerooms (or however you get in touch with them) on the back so you can scan and return them. I like your idea of doing travel- the copy (paragraph of writing on the page) has to have some sort of focus to it, and that sounds like a good one. Odds are you would get pictures from all over if you asked ans got the word out that you are looking for people's pictures to put in the yearbook- eveyone wants to be included! Talk to people and try to get good quotes about their summer and be sure to have your pictures have a varitety of things going on- not everyone travelling the world, because that's not what the whole school did- some people travel, some work, some volunteer... etc etc- try to hit on as many things as you can get pictures for. We got a lot of really good pictures just putting an announcement out to the main student body. Good luck, I really miss yearbook, it's so much fun!
