  1. Can you put some exercise mats on the walls?
  2. first of all I have seen a room with concrete walls and I can tell you this person bought some fabric and some of that spray on glue and put the fabric on the walls, easy to take off later, you can get some with trucks on it and cars...you can go to DIY network and get ideas or Martha stewart and see what she has. anyway just thought I would put my input in
  3. Ikea makes a great hanging mesh basket/organizer for kids. They look really cool and the price is great! My kids use them to organize everything from socks, crafts, books, Gi Joe men, everything. They come in 2 lenghths.
  4. MJ designs, Hallmark, and traget are great places for decorations. The cement walls might be a big problem since it is a toddler. You may want to buy some cheap padded siding from somewhere. You can sometimes go to construction sites and get free wood and stuff to use.
  5. You can use sticky-tack. You could always paint onto the walls!
  6. Go to a local Home Hardware or other such place. Tell them your problem and needs. They'll be able to help you. Why not contact Tonka and see if they have some stickers you can stick on the wall? Know anyone artistic? Maybe they can give you some ideas. Go to the local college and put up an ad detailing what you need. Offer to pay something. You'd be surprised the ideas you'll get. What about a truck bed? Watch Extreme Makeover - Home Edition and shows like that for some super cool ideas.
  7. A friend of mine starting decorating her daughters room just yesterday... Go to your local craft store and pick up some white canvas boards and some paints (puff paints, acrylics etc) and start getting creative! Even if you get your son to create his own masterpiece, that'll mean that he's had some input into it to. Your local craft store should also have books etc where you'll be able to get some ideas. Kids are easy to accomodate for because they tend to like just about everything : ) Have fun and good luck!!!
  8. Try putting some wallpaper that will bring life to your room. if possible try putting a velvet wall then a felt cut out of cars and trucks and stick Velcro behind it so the kids can play with it, sticking it from wall to wall...
  9. I would first and foremost paint the walls, plain white will do, especially if you're planning of decorating them later. Then go online/your local library and get some ideas. As i am not especially artistic, i found this british site www.FunToSee.com that sell giant wall stickers in different themes (flower garden, under the sea, jungle and outer space) and they transformed my boy's room instantly. He participated in putting them up, you can peel them off and put up again in different places and as you're renting, you just peel them right off and move them with you. Carboard box tunnel: tape, scissors (knife), paint it afterwards...
