Kids Room Tips

How to decorate my kids room ( girl & boy)?

Hello! I'm looking for any ideas how to make a room for my kids( girl 4 years old and boy 2 years old). I'm all over the internet sites but everything I could fiind is just for girls or boys. I just need some ideas, to make this room work for both of them. I was thinkinig about bunk bed cause their room it,s not that big. Maybe some of you know some internet sites where there is an offer to make a room like that? or just have any ideas to help me out:)) Thank you

  1. Well if I'm honest with you, I'd paint it yellow, and stick with the bunk bed idea. Sorry I can't help much, good luck with it;D

  3. my 4.5 year old boy and almost 2 year old daughter also share a medium size room so i know what you are going through. we painted the walls a cloud blue, and put up a creamy light tan curtains. then we went to our local craft store and bought wood letters and put their names above their beds on the wall they have seperate beds on opposite sides of the room. they both have a plain white 4 drawer dresser we bought at kmart for $30 each. my sons bedding is disney cars and my daughters bedding is disney princess. we also have a pet net on one of the corners up by the ceiling. we tried to keep it all neutral except for their bedding. if you are wanting a whole matching theme you could do a space them or maybe winnie the pooh.
  4. well start by picking a color. then a theme that would work for both of them. when i had my first child her room was a bear themed room them i switched her to a tinkerbell room and when i got pregnant with my second daughter she automatically went in with her sister. now they're in two seperate rooms and one is tinkerbell the other is winnie the pooh. if they we both in the same room I'd probably go with a soft green color and a jungle theme. that'd be cool.
  5. maybe a wooden bunk bed and vallina coloured walls and brown curtains. i was also thinking maybe u could make da place look atractive using some toys and fairy lights. u coul make the room realy interesting by halfing it pink and blue.
  6. Cowboy & Cowgirl. It doesn't have to look podunkish. The have really cute material that has kids dressed up like cowboys & cowgirls. You could paint a wooden rail fence on one of the walls. you can get 3 or 4 star hooks, screw them on a board to make a place for the kids to hang jackets or hats in their room. i guess you call it a hat rack. dont know if thats your style or not. just an idea.
  7. funny, we're doing the same exact thing only my son is older and my daughter is younger. we just bought the bunk beds and are now looking for matching boy/girl cowboy/cowgirl stuff. it's harder than you'd think to find. so far, the best sheet sets are made by dwell and one other company and alas cost over 300 dollars/set; land of nod had some cute bedroom ideas and we are thinking of going with gingham instead. not sure this was helpful but you know you are not alone! i do think it's important for them each to have their own individual identity, so i wouldn't make it too generic, personally. some sites are better than others in terms of decorating ideas; land of nod had some well laid out and presented rooms; pottery barn is also good for that sort of thing.
