- no your not punk! your you. dont get labeled!!!
- lol. listen to the first answerer......
- If you say it is so then so it is. Be a Punk and be proud. I was a Punk in the late '70's when I was 15/16 when The Clash and The Sex Pistols were causing mayhem. I soon grew out of it but it was fun. My main regret is that I didn't spend enough time learning to play a guitar. If your a Punk you should play something. Btw a bad attitude isn't cool. An attitude is cool. Let everyone else worry about whether it's bad or not. Have a positive attitude about your music, fashion, freinds etc. P.S. I thought 12 yrs old was too young for Yahoo Answers or is that your punk attitude coming through?
- Ah to be 12... The first answer was best. Avoid labels, they're pointless. Just be yourself. If somebody labels you, just tell them they're stupid or something. But if you WANT to look punk, for whatever reason, just get a bunch of chains and plaid. If you want to be more into the pop punk scene, just mimic Avril Lavigne. If you like more skate punk, go to a store like Pac Sun and get a bunch of skate clothes and pick up a pair of Vans or another skate shoe. Just be careful with that, because if you can't skate but act like it, you'll just be a poser, and nobody likes them. But then again, "poser" is a label, and we've already established that they don't mean anything and should be murdered. Hot Topic is a good store if you want to show off what kind of music you're into through your clothes. As far as punk music goes, there's a lot of variations and it's very broad, to the point where you can include a lot of different artists: Skate punk: Guttermouth, Bones Brigade, The Faction, Lagwagon, NOFX, Sheglank'd Shoulders, Gang Green, Descendents, Adolescents, Agent Orange, Skate Death, Black Flag, Uncle Pervey, SideSixtySeven, Pennywise,Hogan's Heroes, Clay Wheels, Big Boys, The Sidewalk Surfers, Bad Religion, Millencolin, Dead Kennedys, The NoNamed, Suicide Machines, Agnostic Front, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. Pop punk: The Offspring, Green Day, Sum 41, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup, Avril Lavigne, etc. Ska Punk: Rancid, Goldfinger, The Suicide Machines, Against All Authority, Operation Ivy, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Catch 22, Streetlight Manifesto, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Buck-O-Nine, Mad Caddies, The Aquabats, Mustard Plug, Five Iron Frenzy, etc. Then there's different hardcore punk groups and basically any fusion of genres you can think of. So really, if you listen to any of it and it's your favorite, you can call yourself a punk. If you're particular to one variation, like skate punk, then you could say you're a skate punk. But, you shouldn't even think about it, because it's just a label. It's weird how music resonates into fashion.
