Kids Room Tips

Tips on making a very shared bathroom kid friendly?

We have one small bathroom in our home. No room for anything except the essentials. I have an 8 year old son & a 1 1/2 year old girl. How can I make the bathroom for the kids with it appealing to both my children? And I'm trying to avoid making it just too, too kid like because it is the only bathroom in the home and my son is starting to get a bit mature for too childish of things. Although, if I found something great - I wouldn't care how kid-like it is. Thanks much!

  1. brothers house is the same and he has an 8 year old boy and a 1year old girl. they have a master bathroom but the only other house bathroom is the kids and is rather small. they have ocean every thing in there and it seems to fit both kids even the baby ocean toys fit in
  2. do the fish theme you could never be to old for that.get the fish shower curtain the fish mats that go on the bottom of the bathtub your 1 1/2 would love it.thats all you have to do don't go over boared like getting the garbage pale and toothbrush holders things like that you do not need just the simple things.
  3. a child themed shower curtain and bathmat (ie-mickey mouse)is always easy.
  4. You can buy a mesh hammock which you can put all of your little girls bath toys in. It can hang on the tiles by little suction pads. (picture at link below) Its nice if they have their own towels too. A pink fluffy one for you daughter and a blue one for you lad. Hope that helps.
  5. Put spongebobo wall paper up in there. And barbie princess or something.
