Kids Room Tips

How many kids can share a room legally?

I have a huge four bedrm house, im not sure of the sq. footage. The kids room is the biggest rm in the house. We are planning to make four rooms out of it but right now the kids have to share. I live in Texas and I have two other kids come every other wkend. Also what is the age limit when they have to have single gender only rooms?

  1. lol XD is it like stuff as many kids in a room as you can?
  2. I'm in Texas, too. And as far as I know there is no "legal limit"....it would just be up to what's comfortable for your family and your living conditions.
  3. I live in AZ and do not know if it a law, but landlords will not rent if more than 2 children to a room [not gender specific] and child welfare agency says children have to have seperate rooms by the age of 4. visitors are excluded from this equation as they are short term.
  4. I believe its age 8 (on military base) and different genders can not share the same room. There is no law that says a child MUST have their own room as for gender I you should use your own desecration. I never shared a room with my sister (or brother) and wont allow for children to share a room in my house. When we had our home built we had it made as a 5 bedroom home (I had a daughter he had a daughter) we used one as guest room, one as ours and one as a game room. When our son was born my husband wanted to move him into his daughters room (who is only here 10 weeks a yr) and I refused, as a result he was given the "sitting area" of our room as a nursery. He's now 16 months old and we are redoing the game room making it my SD's room and making my SD's room my son's room. The game room is being added on as we speak.
  5. The best advice I can offer is to call CPS (from a payphone) and ask them. They would be able to tell you. And I would do it now, if you have an ex you are dealing with. Wouldn't want to find out the hard way. Your question is confusing. You say you have a huge four bedroom house. with 4 bedrooms you shouldn't even have an issue maybe you mean four bedrooms after you make four rooms out of the one, but that doesn't make sense either, numer wise.
  6. I know you can have 2 bunkbeds to a room, so that would be 4 kids to a room. As for the age, I think once they reach 10 years old, kids need their own rooms gender wise (girls room and boys room, not co-ed).
  7. Fortunately, the government does not intrude into the bedroom to such an extent...yet.
  8. If you are asking, you probably already know deep down that you have too many in the room and are seeking social justification for packing kids in a room like sardines in a can.
  9. If there over 15 and other child 5 no way even it of same gender.
  10. if you ahve space make one rrom for each other wise make each two in one room to use to be sociable and share teh other in his life
