How to transition kids into sharing a room? I'm one of the people caught up in this foreclosure mess so I will be moving soon, downsizing from a three bdrm to a two bdrm. My two daughters, who are 3 1/2 and 2, are going to have to share a room. I'm a little concerned about transitioning them. My biggest fear is naptime and bedtime. I want to start writing any tips or advice? Ya I want to start writing. I've been writing since I was 7 I wrote a journal of short stories mainly of kid stuff like space and stuff, but my dad found the book and threw it away saying I can't write. I later when I was 9 started writing songs about ambition and stuff and hid them all around my room so he couldn't find them. He abandoned me when I was 13 so it was safer to write I wrote a chapter book, and a bunch of poems. 5 which have been published, and a bunch that are in a book around 20 but I probably won't publish them because I was in a depression at the time I wrote them. Any tips though? If i do finally write another novel or chapter book and it gets published about how much will it cost to send in to publish? Any tips on putting a toddler in a toddler bed? My daughter is 1 and 1/2. Decorating Kids rooms on a limited budget.? I am decorating 2 rooms. One is for a 7 year old girl and one for an 11 year old boy. The girl likes Bratz, Hanna Montana, Barbie, and Disney princess'es. Babysitting tips? Hi guys! So I'm gonna baby sit my really cute neighboors this Friday! But i need some tips on how-to-babysit kind of stuff! Ideas on how to turn a basement into a little place for kids? I was thinking on creating different spaces for them. A kitchen/dining room, living room, office, and possibly a bedroom area. I was thinking of dividing the "rooms" with king size sheets, hung in a neat manner. Our basement isn't finished or anything (drywall/paint, etc) but is in good enough shape to have a little fun with it. I don't know if I am allowed to paint or put anything on the floor (except carpet...not tacked down) And ideas, thoughts, tips? Tips for a successful yard sale? I am having a yard sale May 20th. I have tables already, and a couple clothes racks (I have a TON of clothes, mens, ladies, kids). Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews, grandchildren or friends with children. This will pertain to you too. As I read the following, my heart sank. I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people as you can. I cannot stress how important this is! This is very disturbing news. In addition to the following true story... Our son lost his watch, and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find the watch. Instead, we found vomit, food, feces, and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager and raised hell. Come to find out, the ball pit is only cleaned out once a month. I have doubts that it is even done that often. My kids will never play in another ball pit. Now read this: PRETTY SCARY!! Hi. My name is Lauren Archer, my son Kevin and I lived in Midland,TN. On October 2nd, 1999 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong, he pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said "Mommy, it hurts." I couldn't find anything wrong with him at that time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point when I found a welt on his left buttock. Upon investigating, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment to see the doctor the next day, but soon he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head. From there, we went to the emergency room. He died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off inside. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from a heroine overdose. The next week, the police removed the balls from the ball pit. There was rotten food, several hypodermic needles: some full, some used; knives, half-eaten candy, diapers, feces, and the stench of urine. If a child is not safe in a child's play area then where? When they cleaned the ball pit they found that there was a copperhead nest in the ball pit. He had suffered numerous bites from a very poisonous snake. Repost this if it scares the ____ out of you! AND FYI: In Florida and other places on the East Coast a group of people are putting HIV/AIDS infected and filled needles underneath gas pump handles, so when someone reaches to pick it up and put gas in their car, they get stabbed with it. 16 people have been a victim of this crime so far and 10 tested HIV positive. Redesigning tips...? We're redesigning my almost 5 year old's room because its a barney theme and he thinks its too little kid. ( He's the oldest.. to be expected.) Our 15 year old neighbor is coming over to help. Kelli ( her) is helping painting. My sister ( 16) is having a baby early august ( sad I know) so she is very busy and we're designing her baby's room and her room ( the same room.). Any tips on themes, colors, anything would help. also stores to get things. etc. Tips for both rooms. Like the Purple would be the main color, and the green would be I guess you call it the accent color? I don't know. The room would be a lot like a teen's room, but split into two parts. One like teen, tv, computer posters etc. and the other half crib, changing table, toys etc. alot of toys are going to be in the living space and things. Its not acually going to be her baby, maybe not my husband and i might adopt it.

Getting rid of your kids toys? Without thinking about the price, sentimental value, etc? I cant even see the floor in my daughters room and still its so hard to go through things and get rid of them. She says everything is her FAVORITE and she cant live without it!! How do I just get it done???? I cant do it when shes not here, cause she dont go to school yet. Any tips? Thanks!

housecleaning tips...OMG HELP ME!!LOL!!!? Okay, here's the thing. I have 4 kids.... 3 boys (aged 7, 5 and 2) and a 6 week old daughter. My house looks like a tornado whipped through here... I just got a phone call from a friend of mine, and she's bored... she wants to hang out, but I don't have the car, so she's going to come over after class (college) at 3:30ish... it's almost 11:30.... I can't just clean constantly from now until then, because I have my 2 youngest kids here, and they demand a lot of attention. Can someone give me some tips on how to get my house presentable? There's nothing dangerous to kids, which is good, because she's bringing her 18month old over. Anyway, I am going to throw all the clothes into my bedroom and just shut the door, and I'll take out the garbage... but what about the kids' play room, and the fact that we have papers and all kinds of crap stacked everywhere... we don't have storage. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR BEST HOUSECLEANING TIPS! Ones that are good for cleaning in a hurry. PLEASE! LOL! I do want to add that I do clean my house, but with 3 boys, it doesn't stay clean for longer than 10 minutes. I'm going nuts living in a pig sty, and if my two older kids were home, they could help me clean. Also, we had a kitchen fire recently, and although no one was hurt and we got it all cleaned up, you can still kind of smell the fire/smoke/grease (it was a grease fire)... we have air freshener, but it doesn't seem to work. How to decorate a Sunday school room in a train station unit.? My new Unit for my toddler (ages 2-4) sunday school class is called: "welcome aboard the traveling train!" I'm supposed to have seats set up like a train and I already have posters that they sent me that look like your looking out a window into a city. I'm also supposed to have a train station office so I can give out tickets at the beginning of every class. They told me I could use PVC Pipes to make it but I'm not sure what those are or how to make a mini-office in a little room. Please give me tips and info...a few pictures might help too. Please keep in mind that little kids will be in this classroom and I dont want them to get hurt. Also budget is minimal so something that can be reused in a couple of years would be preferable and something easy to assemble and cheap to buy would be perfect. It says to make an awning type roof, A wooden window and door may be nailed to the cardboard wall...what doea that mean? can you really nail wood to cardboard? do you need a special kind? thanx

wallpaper tips???? help???? we live in a 155 year old house {roughly}, and for some reason they wallpapered everything in the "olden times!!" including the ceiling!!! there are layers and layers of it!! anyway, we are trying to paint my kid's room, and it is such a pain, these walls!! someone told me that if we just put 2 or 3 coats of good primer over the wallpaper, that we can't seem to remove, that that should work okay!! any opinions!!!! by the way, our walls are lathe, obviously!!!!

Tips on getting this girl to like me? She is a BITCH but her attitude kinda makes me like her for some reason. She thinks everything i say is annoying and she thinks im a idiot. Shes a bitch to everyone but a BIG one to me. I cant say 1 thing with out her thinking im pervurted (i dont even got to say something pervurted). She on a scale of 1-10 of the girls in my grade is maybe a 7 or 8 but shes in all honors classes so she never had anyone like her + shes a BITCH

How to clean and organize my room? And, how can I keep it cleaned and organized? Here's the deal, I can't find a place for everything, and I don't know how to decide if I need something or not anymore... Also I don't have a bookshelf, or a place to put a lot of things becuase the bins in my room are being used for toys for kids I babysit every once and a while. for now I put everything I don't have a place for in a huge box, and then I shoved it in my closet.... So if anyone has any tips or anything plz help. Also I am getting off the computer now, except to answer questions to get it done.

babysitting naughty kids!? been babysitting some kids down the road for the past year, and they're really cute and i get on with their parents and stuff but they are SO hard to get to bed! they sleep in seperate rooms and when i put one to bed the other runs out and starts jumping on the mum and dad's bed and then i go and get him and the girl runs out of her room and does it to! the longest its taken me just to get them setted is about half an hour longer than it should arrgh. im 17 and they are, boy = 5, girl = 3/4ish any tips on how to calm them down/control them?? i dont wanna be mean!

How do you travel with many kids? In April, I am going to Bahamas with my 5 kids. At that time, my triplets will be 7 months. My twins will be 3 1/2. Any tips for traveling? That includes packing, airport, airplane, hotel room, island, etc. I don't want stupid answers. We are going to go on a nice family vacation! Yes, I did say I was pregent with them a month ago because I didn't want people saying "Well why aren't you with them right now." or "Why didn't you plan that a while ago." Well, anyway it doesn't matter to me. I have to get up early tomorrow so goodnight to you! Yes, I have thought about hiring a friend to come with us. + PARENTS... How do you get your kids +? How do you get your kids to listen to you? I have a five year old boy that will NOT listen to me! I tell him to clean his room and he says " NO, Cause you do it " Or He will sit there and argue with me about random things. He thinks it's funny to say hurtful things to me or To try to hurt me! He will push my buttons for hours to try to get me screaming mad. I try to ignore him bad behavior and praise his good behavior but that does not work either. He DESTROYS everything in site that I own. He has ADHD and SPD. I NEED help and Ideas on how to get the respect and have him know that I'm in charge and he isn't. I have tryed giving him more responsiblity's and more choses but it has made it worse. A friend told me that if you give him a little then you will get a little in return but that did not work. I have been trying to do that for a few months now! I need any tips on how to deal with this or if you know of any books that would be helpful.

My 4 yr. old is scared of the dark/ his room....? Ok well to sum this up quick...My fiance, her 2 kids and I just moved into a new place. Her 4 yr. old son has never had his own room and is really scarred of it. He is so used to sleeping in the same room as his 6 yr old sister. Well my fiance is really sick lately and I have been doing most of the stuff with and for the kids. Which I dont mind at all! But I was just curious to know some things or tips to help him adjust. We already have 2 night lights in his room and this morning when I woke up @ 5:45 am he went into his sisters room and they were sitting up talking. He had all the lights on and he said he was scarred. I have slept with him in his room when he came into ours in the middle of the night. Any ideas? Thank you for your time and help!!
